Production Art Department is run inside the the newly renovated Learning and Innovation Centre at North Sydney TAFE. Our facilities include a sunny art studio, a traditional drawing room, and digital drawing rooms with Wacom Cintiq 24HD drawing tablets for each student.
Production Art Department, or PAD, has been designed by industry professionals. Each of the subjects are based upon real world principles, so that the imaginary worlds and characters you create look and feel believable. The subjects compliment each other to form a focussed course, so that you can build the folio you've always dreamed about.
PAD is planning to host workshops from LA, in addition to its diploma program!
We are currently arranging for Scott Robertson to deliver intensive master class workshops throughout the year.
Scott Robertson is renown throughout the world for his contribution to the field of Entertainment Design. He was the former Chair of the Entertainment Design department at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he mentored some of the most talented concept artists in the industry today. In 2002, Scott founded the publishing company, Design Studio Press, which has brought international attention to the field of concept art through the publication of 58 titles to date. Scott's extraordinary vehicle and environmental designs can be seen in a wide range of projects, from feature films, such as Minority Report, to theme parks, such as the Men in Black Ride in Orlando.
