Job Title: Russian Translator
Reporting To: Project Manager
Work conditions: IN-HOUSE translation (non-negotiable, no freelancers please), 40 hours a week (neg.), 9-10 months contract duration
Field: coal mining and processing (but all applications are considered)

Role: To provide Russian to English/English to Russian translation of documents, specifications, technical drawings, electrical drawings and business correspondence
Specifically the role is accountable for:
• Translation of incoming correspondence from Russian client
• Translation of outgoing correspondence, documents and specifications
• Translation of AutoCAD Drawings into Russian
• Terminology research
• Revision and/or proofreading of translations

Job Specification: (essential or desirable qualities required – i.e. education, knowledge / skills)
• Applicants MUST be Australian residents, currently residing in Australia (QLD preferred)
• Native Russian speaker, with excellent command of English language.
• Higher education in any field, Engineering industry preferred
• An excellent, broad engineering knowledge and minimum 1-2 year experience in translating
• Advanced computer skills including high proficiency in MS Office Suite
• CAT tools (SDL Trados)
• NAATI qualifications are desirable, but all applications will be considered
• Ability to demonstrate skills in time management, organisation and teamwork
• Ability to work under pressure and effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to carry out duties autonomously
