Urgent positions available. Salary expected to be around $60K base, as we are looking for someone around 2 - 3 years Windows System Administration experience.
A few details on the role:
Window Engineer - maintain networks, servers, Exchange - find faults & fix. 4 servers, 30 users. Inhouse except Remote users interstate and overseas use the VPN.
Testing - system and software testing - testing environments, writing test plans, debugging. Support the internal systems (applications in house) - making sure the application itself runs.
The role is about 50-60% Sys Admin, about 40-50% Testing products (innovative hardware)
Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Monitor and maintain the Windows, network, VPN and other infrastructure environments.
* Install, monitor and maintain computer and network hardware, running a mix of Windows 2003/ 2008 server, Vista and XP for Intel platform operating systems.
* Monitor and maintain backup and recovery of data.
* Provide on site assistance for Network; Windows; DBA and Internal Services teams when required.
* Support the existing installed business applications including ERP (client server environment), Accounting, Wiki, intranet, issue tracking system and other applications
* Support, carry out and perform system, unit and release testing of the Optalert product range with the test group. This incorporates hardware, software, internet and various other platform tests.
To be the successful candidate, you should have the following:
* 2 - 3 years Windows System Administration experience
* Experience with SQL server and other databases a bonus
* Experience in use of MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Project
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in an engineering field (computer science, electronics engineering, et cetera).
Advantage:
* Experience in supporting ERP systems and advantage
* Microsoft Certification an advantage - MCSE
