  • Migration opportunities for hairdressers in Australia

    Dear All,
I'm an overseas student currently doing my 3-year degree at Victoria University, I was issued a visa that expires in 2006 when I'm supposed to finish my course. Unfortunately, my course is somewhat underated when it comes to applying for PR.

So I decided to strengthen my future migration opportunities by enrolling in 1-year Certificate III in Hairdressing, which, if approved by TRA, will qualify me for obtaining 60 SOL points + MODL.

I was wandering if I'd be granted a work experience exemption should I apply for PR in Skilled Independent Overseas Student category?

The current rule states that I have to meet a 2 year study requirement to be exempt.

On the other hand Hairdressers with a positive skills assessment from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) will not be required to demonstrate that they have at least 3 years relevant experience following completion of their hairdressing qualification.

Do the two cancel each other out?

In other words, will I be able to apply for PR once I finish my hairdressing course?

Thank you very much in advance, Vlad.

Откуда такие сведения ? В МОДЛ для парикмахеров есть примечание не менее чем 3 года работы чтобы получить +15 б.
