  • Full-time firmware engineer in Melbourne

    агент мне тут забросил, кому интересно пишите ему на мыло в конце текста:

    =====================================================

    I've got a fab permanent position in Melbourne on a feature-flush "wearable" product suite that is already sold the world-over, yet the focus remains on increasing functionality, accuracy and usability for cloud-based IoT device development and streaming Realtime data transfer with better performance data analytics capability.

    The hardware is fully digital, on the metal (no Linux etc). Two different CPUs coupled over a communications bus in a master-master setup (this is the bit that’s difficult). Each CPU is split 50/50 - attached to half the sensors and half the communications. Sensors are GNSS and IMU, each talking over conventional communication buses, via vendor SDKs.

    We’d love to find a suitably interested and capable Embedded Engineer (who can work with no OS) with some hardware experience. We’re NOT expecting HW Design skills (this is outsourced anyhow), but we would like some hardware understanding and ability to work with contracted hardware engineers. It’s a hands-on FW Dev role.

    Here’s a tad more info:

    Responsibilities

    Lead the development and maintenance of the hardware, including:

    ° Working with sports scientists, data scientists and the software team to develop and maintain new features on the device;
    ° Support the mobile and desktop app developers interfacing with the device (download tool, firmware updater, mobile app);
    ° Develop and maintain the architecture of the firmware for our unique platform;
    ° Develop and maintain the test plans for hardware/firmware;
    ° Coordinate the releases of firmware;
    ° Liaise with external hardware engineers developing future hardware;
    ° Defective/returned device support and diagnosis.

    Skills

    Required:
    ° Tertiary degree in electronic engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or equivalent.
    ° Experience in embedded development, direct on hardware (no operating system) and debugging.
    ° Experience in C development, including writing efficient code for low power devices.
    ° Experience with reading hardware schematics, datasheets, errata, etc.
    ° Ability to use hardware tools such as protocol analysers, oscilloscopes and JTAG/SMD debuggers to debug devices.
    ° Strong problem-solving skills when faced with development challenges such as missing or incorrect documentation, incorrect reference code, dev/production differences, etc.
    ° Familiarity with software lifecycle development, e.g. Git, bug tracking, etc.
    ° Familiarity working within an agile team.
    ° Ability to work independently as the team expert in your field.

    Desirable:
    ° Familiarity with Atmel ARM Cortex M0 and/or Nordic D21.
    ° Familiarity with Bluetooth LE, SPI and/or USB.
    ° Familiarity with GNSS (GPS), IMU and/or any other MEMS sensor system.
    ° Familiarity with Python, Node.js, Electron, React Native, Windows and/or MacOS development.

    Interested parties should:
    1. Submit a resume to: [email protected]
    2. Confirm current work situation / suitable skills
    3. Confirm availability to start
    4. Confirm current salary
    5. Confirm desired / required salary

    нафига мастер-мастер, дублируются ,что ли? все равно какой-то протокол нужен ...

    это так, ворчу. Лет 8 назад было бы интересно.
    And five hundred entirely naked women dropped out of the sky on parachutes.
