Приветствую,

как и где вы черпаете идеи для эссе? Порой темы такие, что просто так сходу в голову ничего не лезет, а ценное время уходит. Согласен, что многие темы пересекаются и ключевые мысли/предложения можно таскать за собой, чтение газет и википедии тоже помогает.

Может быть, у вас есть какие-то свои ноу-хау которыми вы не прочь поделиться?

Я обычно понимал сколько моделей эссе существует в принципе и как они должны быть написаны, потом у меня был свой список фраз для разных случаев жизни - высказывание мнения, повествование, противопоставление, размышление, предположение и т.л. - кот. я тоже помнил, затем я специально учил adjectives and adverb, иногда обороты речи, нуи - получив задание, начинал с его анализа, делал вывод о модели, составлял план ответа буквально:

Children today are too dependent on computers and electronic entertainment. It would be better for them to be outside playing sports and taking part in more traditional pastimes than spending all day indoors. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Model: Consider thoroughly one side of the problem. Give support and examples.
Plan: (intro -> ideas to support (1-3)-> conclusion)
1. intro
2. idea1 - poor health, lack of training
3. idea2 - waste of time, less productive
4. idea3 - ?
5. conclusion

а дальше - дело техники, представьте себя на месте отвечающего (хотя вы там уже и сидите ), вовлеките себя в процесс - ну и пишите - дальше практика - списки слов запоминаются, придумывание идей становиться привычным делом. Помните моменты кот. дают плюс в ессе и письмах - ссылка на свой опыт, например.

Есть также упражнения, они помогают для эссе и пополнения словарного запаса, толи paraphrasing, то ли rephrasing - т.е. берется слово, скажем банан - и опысываем его всеми возможными способами - нельзя повторяться и называть банан - бананом. Ну типа - такой желтый ,продолговатый душистый плод - Такая вещь которые любят обезьяны - из-за этого предмета в африке была фруктовая война такого-то года - ну и дальше, у кого, какой диагноз...

It is generally accepted that along with computer and video games, noisy parties, nasty piercing a new youth fancy comes. Young people, having plenty of free time and yet no particular duties, are more often being hooked up by seducing advertisements, forcing them to spend their and parents' money on shopping at their leisure.
Stylish TV programs and magazines help a great deal to encourage them to be fashion-conscious and anxious about widgets.
Even though the tendency is not of something vitally important, few aspects of the problem definitely can not be concealed at all.

There several point to consider, first of which is that such a pastime is hardly supposed to be very useful. While all of us have to do shopping from time to time to meet our needs and it is quite common activity, making this procedure a hobby is going to substitute such things as sport, relations, development and something of the sort. It is really the time to alter the famous saying: 'we shop to live, not live to shop'. Driving young live in such a way could bring no thing to recall at old age.

Another important evidence supporting my belief is that a shopping-all-the-day does not leave young people time for active pastime. As the same as the computer games, young person is just wasting one's time, while youth is a good period of time to go into sport and to strengthen one's health for future challenges.

Finally, there is no doubt at all that this way to have leisure is very expensive and could make a considerable breach in the family budget.

Considering all of these ideas, it should be stressed out that despite the fact our world changes at all time offering us more and more new questionable values like fashion is, we are sentient beings able to develop in own way and to help youth choose actually useful activities.

У меня преподователь разбил подготовку к экзамену на несколько больших частей, и именно по темам:
A. EDUCATION. (Intelligence. System of Education)
WORK AND JOBS. (Career ladder. Job Satisfaction. Rat's Race. Downshifting. Personal Traits.)
FAMILY RELASHIONSHIP. (Working Mothers. Child Rearing. Leaving Home.)
B. HEALTH. (Medical Matters. Keeping Fit. Longevity. Welfare state. Drug/Alcohol. Addiction; Emotions. Stress and Stress Managment.
ENVIROMENTAL PROBLEMS. (How Green are you? Wildlife. Nature Conservation. Living in Town Living in the country)
GLOBALIZATION. (Economic, Political and Cultural Aspects.)
ну короче и т.д. еще три огромные темы. Она приносит нам статьи, мы читаем дома потом на уроке обсуждаем, выбираем классные и приемлемые выражения -учим их, в процессе и в конце каждой темы эссэ. В результате по каждой теме две-три проблемы, о которых можно вести речь в правильном русле, в голове остается. В общем конечно это не быстро, но зато охватываем многое.

У меня было 2 рыбы - для письма и для эссе.
Темы брала здесь:

И начала с того, что проговаривала письма и эссе на русском.
Потому что сначала нападал ступор и по-русски не могла ничего придумать.
А уж на анлийский переложить - это не проблема.
