Опять про гражданство (AU citizenship)

Вопрос знатокам...поиском не нашел (

If you became a permanent resident on or after 1 July 2007 you must:
* have been living in Australia on a valid Australian visa for four years immediately before applying, including one year as a permanent resident, and
* not have been absent from Australia for more than one year, including no more than 90 days in the year before applying.

смутил пункт 2. т.е. если я выехал из АУ более чем на год - я уже никогда не смогу получить гражданство????

или здесь речь про то, чтобы за этот период (4 года) не выезжать более чем на год?

смутил пункт 2. т.е. если я выехал из АУ более чем на год - я уже никогда не смогу получить гражданство????

Имеется в виду следующее. Чтобы получить гражданство, нужно быть резидентом 4 года, короткие поездки не прерывают резиденствование, как написано в AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP ACT 2007 - SECT 22 General residence requirement:

Overseas absences

(1A) If:

(a) the person was absent from Australia for a part of the period of 4 years immediately before the day the person made the application; and

(b) the total period of the absence or absences was not more than 12 months;

then, for the purposes of paragraph (1)(a), the person is taken to have been present in Australia during each period of absence.

(1B) If:

(a) the person was absent from Australia for a part of the period of 12 months immediately before the day the person made the application; and

(b) the total period of the absence or absences was not more than 90 days; and

(c) the person was a permanent resident during each period of absence;

then, for the purposes of paragraph (1)(c), the person is taken to have been present in Australia as a permanent resident during each period of absence.

Проще говоря, имея визу на 5 лет, чтобы получить гражданство, нужно в течении четырех лет, в сумме покидать страну не более чем на год, и не более чем на 90 дней в последний год перед подачей.

Если это не получается, то вы сможете получить гражданство позже, получив Five Year Resident Return Visa (Subclass 155) (нужно в течении 5 лет прожить минимум 2 года в Австралии чтоб беспроблемно ее получить).
