Overseas non-residents wishing to open an account before they arrive in Australia can now apply to open an Access Advantage Savings account online at the link below:

You can forward monies into the Access Advantage account prior to your arrival in Australia. When you arrive in Australia and visit an ANZ branch to activate your account, you will then be able to access the funds.
Overseas banks generally require your Australian BSB or branch number and account number to remit funds to your Australian account. Once the account has been opened you will be provided with the account details to enable the transfer of funds.
Some overseas banks also require a swift code. The swift code for ANZ is ANZBAU3M
Access accounts have a debit card issued for ATM and EFTPOS use.
You can send the funds in US, Canadian or Australian currency. ANZ will convert the US or Canadian currency into Australian dollars for prior to the deposit into your ANZ Access account.
Your overseas bank will charge you to send a Telegraphic Transfer to your ANZ account. Please refer to them for any related fees and charges.
ANZ will charge $10 to process a Telegraphic Transfer from overseas to your ANZ account. However, if your overseas bank sends the funds via a third party bank, additional charges may be levied by the intermediary bank.
