PR после 820

Добрый день!
Очень нужен совет.
Я в браке, он австралиец. Отношения хорошие, все в порядке.
У меня 820 виза (получила 05.2014).
В январе 2015 я родила малыша. Рожать прилетела в Россию. Сейчас я и ребенок в России.
Начинаю оформлять документы на австралийское гражданство ребенка (по происхождению). С этим нет вопросов...
Вопрос вот в чем: документы на PR пришлют в апреле 2016. Если вдруг по каким либо уважительном причинам (здоровье ребенка или мое здоровье) я не успею вернуться в Австралию к этому времени, обязательно ли мое нахождение на территории Австралии для получения PR?
И еще вопрос такой...
Какие вообще обычно документы они запрашивают для PR?

P.S. моё мнение- собирать доки не сложно. особенно если сравнить с "собирательством" на невестинскую визу!
