В некоторых странах петиция может подаваться не только гражданином, но и любым человеком (как лично, так и совместно с другими людьми). На право подавать петицию также могут быть установлены ограничения для некоторых категорий граждан (например, для военнослужащих в Испании).

Получили фидбэк

Фидбэк в ответ на письмо Laurie Ferguson. Самое удивительное, то что ASPC даже неудосужилось написать "кастом" (личный) ответ. Вместо этого вставили шаблонный текст.
Что и требовалось доказать с самого начала.....

Honourable Laurie Ferguson MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural
Affairs and Settlement Services. This correspondence was received on the
14th October 2009. I am responding to you as the Manager of Team 7
Offshore, Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre. Can you please advise the
applicant of the information contained in this correspondence.

A new Government Direction for General Skilled Migration (GSM) visas was
introduced on 23 September 2009, outlining priority processing arrangements
for the assessment of applications. Information on this Direction can be

What's New? Recent Changes in General Skilled Migration

The Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre (ASPC) is currently developing its
procedures to process GSM applications in accordance with this new
Direction. Applicants with nominated occupations listed on the Critical
Skills List (CSL) will be given the highest priority, and that is where the
ASPC will be focussing its attention. Once the ASPC has established
processing arrangements for CSL cases, we will be in a position to provide
further advice, which, we hope will be available by the end of October
2009.

This application is affected by the new Government Direction that has been
announced effective 23 September. CSL cases will be given the highest
priority and that is where the ASPC will be focussing its attention. At
this stage there is a large number of applications in the priority 2, 3 and
4 categories. Applications in lower priority groups cannot be processed
further until those in higher priority groups are finalised in accordance
with the priority processing Direction.

The applicant may wish to explore your options for alternative visas, such
as the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS). Under this option applicants must
seek out an eligible Australian employer who would sponsor them and
guarantee to employ them for a period of time. As you have a Subclass 175
visa application pending, you are eligible to apply for permanent residence
under the offshore category of ENS without paying a new visa application
charge. Further information on this scheme and instructions for obtaining
nomination/sponsorship is available from Booklet 5, Employer Sponsored
Migration or on the Department's website at
Visa Options - Employer Sponsored Workers - Workers - Visas & Immigration. ENS
applications are processed as soon as they are received.

What is the role of the opposition?

The opposition works to provide an alternative to government actions or policies. In this capacity the opposition scrutinises the government and seeks to hold them accountable for their decisions.

The opposition is also called the alternative government, as they must be ready to form government if they are voted in as a government following a federal election.


What is the Shadow Cabinet?

The Shadow Cabinet is made up of the members of the opposition who are spokespeople in the most important areas of Australian governance. Members of the Shadow Cabinet are known as shadow ministers because they ‘shadow’ the work of government ministers.

The shadow ministers in the Shadow Cabinet usually have responsibilities which match those of government ministers in the Cabinet.
