Unfortunately, for elder generation social networking presented a challenge stem from using new technology. However, these people develop deeper appreciation of communication with their relatives and old friends through social web-sites.

It is hard imagine how our parents managed to exchange news or information without high technologic items, such as smartfon, cellphone and etc. I am entirely sure that with advent of the inernet we expanded our possibilities to share information. Particularly social networks bring us in touch with our friends and relatives. But it is not worth to spend much time. Sometimes it looks like idle chatter. You are to need strike the balance between share information and just vaste your time. However a good few of teenagers do not enrich their skills using boundless information in the internet. Any way I believe that social networks foster to establish new relationship.

Нет, они очень разные.
Инструмент, он и есть инструмент, т.е. что-то, что можно потрогать и повертеть в руках. Особенно mechanical or electronic. А tool может употребляться и в этом значении, и в значении отвлеченном, абстрактном. Т.е. например, английский язык в Австралии - это communication tool. И мессаджинг - это tool, а никак не инструмент.

Вот еще пример, кстати. Отвертка - tool, но не instrument.
