Job Title:
Senior Systems Engineer – Windows Mobile/Outlook/Exchange
Responsible for:
Support of the Remote Access Project Team in Windows Mobile push delivery and Secure Operation
Reports to:
Project Manager – Remote Access Project
Main Activities:
Operation within the Remote Access Project team but working closely with the Exchange administration (IT Midrange) team. Primary tasks including:-
Push delivery/scheduled sync:
Any outstanding basic setup of Exchange always-up-to-date function, and
Subsequent configuration/testing of delivery parameters (attachment size, sync schedule/AUTD, others...)
Validation of candidate handheld device types
Setup of test environment
Documentation (technical and end-user)
2. Security-related (working existing security consultants):
Configure/test device security setting enforcement (device password/inactivity time/remote wipe, etc)
Configure/test device anti-virus/firewall/other security measures
3. Outlook-related (to be confirmed)
Standardisation of offline Outlook configuration/sync
Possible integration of *.pst archive files upon deployment (avoiding possible issues with offline files over thin VPN connections)

Typical Experience:
The ideal candidate has 4+ years solid Exchange 2000/2003 expertise, in-depth knowledge of Windows Mobile including scheduled and/or push delivery, and offline configuration of Outlook. The candidate will have a fundamental base of extensive experience in Windows 2000/2003 Server and Active Directory.
