IT Application Support
Within the Information Technology – Business Systems team, an opportunity exists for a technical support role. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in application support, incident management and service delivery, while contributing to many key projects across the organisation.
Based in Sydney and reporting to the Head of Business Systems - Sydney, the key responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to:
Provide application support to business units across IOOF
Monitoring and maintaining systems critical to the business, including database and data file maintenance across the network of servers and applications
Co-ordinating and installing release upgrades across multiple applications and business units
Monitoring & creating scheduled batch processes and ad hoc queries within SQL
Liaising with software vendors & internal clients to provide most appropriate solutions to the business
Working with Business Units to provide input to business cases and projects underway and in the pipeline
Managing support procedure documentation & review process
Providing incident and problem management monitoring and resolution
The successful candidate will possess;
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance &/or IT related disciplines
Knowledge & experience of database structures, preferably SQL Server
Highly proficient in performing SQL queries
Some previous application support experience preferred
Knowledge and understanding of superannuation and investment management will be an advantage
Ability to think analytically
Enthusiastic approach to work, delivery focused and results orientated
Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Possess excellent time management skills
Driven to succeed, reliable and enthusiastic approach to work
Willingness and ability to work out of hours as required to support the business needs
