Senior Developer

As a key member of a re-shaped platform delivery team, this senior development role will allow you to apply your considerable expertise in Java development, whilst using your technical leadership to help drive the continued technical quality of our platform. If you thrive on producing high quality, valuable outcomes delivered via a willingness to find innovative solutions, we’re looking for you.
Within this role you will:
Deliver features and functionality that significantly enhance our technical platform
Use your leadership qualities to motivate peers and colleages
Drive continuous improvement and innovation
Use your interest in technologies such as Clojure, experimenting and pushing the team to find new ways of delivering value
Be a valued participant in our Agile delivery teams, engaging directly with the business
Lead, support and guide colleagues to further develop our use of delivery automation
Engage with peers within Infrastructure and Operations teams to improve time to deliver features
Participate in the delivery of a great platform for our customers.
To be successful in this role you will have experience delivering within an Agile and adaptable environment and experience using multiple languages and tools, with a focus on Java. Expertise in Clojure or other functional languages is a definite advantage, as is demonstrated technical leadership through the delivery of highly-valued solutions. You will possess a tertiary qualification in computing and have at least 8 years development experience.

Within this role you will:
Deliver features and functionality enhancing our technical platform
Promote continuous improvement, aligning and working with peers to ensure progressive solutions and methods are implemented
Use your interest in new technologies such as Clojure to find better ways of delivering value
Be a valued participant in our Agile delivery teams, engaging directly with the business
Enhance and further develop our use of delivery automation
To be successful in this role you will have experience delivering within an Agile environment and experience using multiple languages and tools, with a focus on Java. Expertise in Clojure or other functional languages is a definite advantage as is commercial experience using NoSQL databases. You will possess a tertiary qualification in computing and have at least 4 years development experience
