I am seeking an experienced Senior Support Engineer for a permanent position with a leading global software company. Based in North Ryde, you will be responsible for providing 3 rd level support to an impressive portfolio of enterprise clients.
Responsible for supporting a specific product line we require a strong communicator who has experience working in a Unix or Linux environment and has commercial experience working with Oracle and SQL relational databases.

Based in Sydney, an opportunity exists for a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer to join Information Technology to be responsible for maintaining the operational effectiveness of the firm’s systems. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing technical solutions and designs,

• Demonstrating strong product knowledge/ownership within area of expertise,

• Technical standards creation and management,

• To act as a technical resource within project teams.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in the configuration and maintenance of specified systems. They will possess advanced skills in Linux system administration (Linux Redhat 4.6/4.8/5.2), Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Professional. Knowledge of HP c-Class Blade systems, VMWare ESX3.5, Microsoft WSUS, vendor systems and infrastructure such as IRESS, Bloomberg, Reuters, ASX, SFE, GLTrade, Sundgard will also be essential.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in customer service, advanced analytical and trouble shooting skills, extensive experience in planning, implementation and management configuration and maintenance of the firm’s systems. Advanced knowledge and practice of ITIL methodology is also required. Knowledge of front/middle/back office business systems and processes – both the franchise side and Prop Trading will be highly desirable.

We need up to 15 consultants to start over the next 4 months!!
I am looking for an F5 Network Designer in Sydney. This is based out at Homebush to start ASAP. These roles will be an initial contract to perm.

Experience/qualifications
• Tertiary qualification in an IT or Engineering related discipline and/or substantial infrastructure design experience in large corporate environments
• Strong technical experience and understanding of technology
• Previous experience working with outsourcers and multi-sourced IT operating models
• Previous experience working with a broad range of IT vendors and suppliers
• Previous operational experience

Skills & knowledge

• Specialised systems knowledge relevant to design requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of development and design methodologies
• Demonstrated capacity to lead others
• Strong conceptual understanding of network and/or security technologies
• Extensive experience in network and/or security architecture and design, including a high standard of written design documentation
• Proven ability to develop strategic network and/or security infrastructure in a large and complex environment
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of banking and finance, including industry trends and technology adoption
• Knowledge of, and experience in IT governance, including industry frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT and relevant Australian and international standards are highly recommended
• Knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements relating to banking and finance IT
• Thought leadership and thorough understanding of current and emerging IT technologies, relevant IT solutions, and limitations of such solutions. This requires a deep and comprehensive understanding of IT network and/or protocols and standards, commercial (and open source) IT security products and services and best practice
• Strong influencing skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, convey ideas clearly and with passion
• Sound understanding and experience in the practical application of risk management concepts, principles and strategies, and industry standards for risk management are highly recommended

Essentially, I am after an F5 GUN!! Someone with GTM, BigIP and FirePass experience..

I will be needing up to 15 consultants for a range of roles (engineers, architects, designers etc).
