Очередное... Как всегда ужасно и на 7 не тянет?
Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (f.e. working for a charity, improving the neighborhood or teaching sports to younger children). To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There are different opinions of whether senior schoolchildren should be obliged to do unpaid work for community or not. Some people argue that such activities are necessary to cultivate a positive attitude to labor; however, in my opinion, the practice of using child labor should be banned.
The main argument against making children perform the unpaid work is rooted in the idea that every task has to be done by skilled workers. Generally, children do not have enough skills to improve the neighborhood or to teach others, and the results of such work might be unpredictable. Moreover, if work is done by professionals rather than by unqualified pupils, then the results of this work might be much better. Consequently, every kind of work has to be done by people who got an appropriate education.
Secondly, contemporary students have a very busy schedule at high school. Learning an excessive number of classes and spending long hours doing homework, pupils literally do not have enough time for participating in community service. Therefore, serving community might present a challenge for the quality of knowledge schoolchildren obtain. Hence, community service should not be a necessary part of a high school education.
In conclusion, I completely disagree with the opinion that schoolchildren ought to engage in unpaid community service. This is because every kind of work should be done by people who have a qualification in a particular field and not by unprepared children. As well as this, pupils should concentrate on the numerous assignments received from teachers rather than on performing duties for community.
